Change Leaders Programme

> Who is this programme for?
Change Leaders is a high impact programme, providing a development opportunity for leaders who have shown the aptitude and potential for delivery of quality and efficiency at greater scale and have lead responsibilities for transformational change programmes.

The target audience is senior leaders, including managers and clinicians, as individuals or as a team.

This programme is fully funded (However individuals/employers are responsible for their own travel and subsistence as necessary).

The content will focus on developing adaptive leadership styles, personal resilience and enhancing skills that support innovation and improvement in quality and efficiency.

The programme will utilise and facilitate participants to examine and adopt the newly designed NHS Change Model. This a framework for change that helps NHS commissioners and providers develop their approach to improvement and deliver NHS goals for quality and value through a common language for change. Building on what we collectively know about successful change, the ‘NHS Change Model’ is an evidence based too, having been developed with hundreds of senior leaders, clinicians, commissioners, providers and improvement activists.

> What People are Saying:
The first programme commenced in February 2012 and completes in November 2012. There are 72 participants from a wide range of organisations. Testimonials from current participants include:

  • "I would thoroughly recommend the programme, it has focused my thinking, made me consider elements that I would not have done before and help me face the challenge of implementing change with a different perspective. As always with programmes like this the networking has been invaluable, especially as so many sides of the NHS are represented. We are lucky, our cohort are fantastic and the facilitators have been great; the passion and enthusiasm everyone has to improve our NHS is contagious."
Johanne Catlin , Organisational Development (OD) Practitioner, Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
  • "We are all faced with a number of changes within the NHS, so we all need as many tools to help us achieve the movement required and this programme inspires us to take on this task with enthusiasm and supported by the tools for success. I know myself better than I did before, I am different to what I thought, but it means I can be more effective and know where to develop"
