Freedom of Information

What's it all about?

The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 gives anyone access to a wide range of information held by public authorities, including the NHS.

This section sets out the approach that will be taken by NHSWM to promote openness and transparency and meet its obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  Our policy covers the approach to FOI issues for the SHA.

Information routinely published by NHS West Midlands

The West Midlands Strategic Health Authority aims to make information as freely available to the public as possible.

As part of the publication scheme, NHS West Midlands routinely publishes details of data loss and theft incidents. These reports, published quarterly, are available here.
